Best Phnom Penh experience

This tour was the highlight of our time in Phnom Penh. We took the night tour with our teenage boys (13 and 18) and they’ve been talking about it ever since. Our guides were so warm and authentic and kind. We loved talking with them and learned so much about Cambodian culture and their own lives. Great conversations! The street food was remarkable — particularly the seafood. And we had fun zipping around the busy streets, dancing (well, trying to dance), sipping cocktails at the sky bar, and touring around on a boat. These are smart, cool women who really know this city. Worth every dollar!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE

I was recommended to visit Cambodia by a friend of mine. When I saw I could get a bargain round trip flight from USA for $700 ,I was off on an adventure.

This was the first time I had been to Asia. I found a motogirltour advertisement in a Phnom Penh city guide left at the hotel check in desk.. I decided to take a 3 hour night tour.

I was greeted at my hotel by a beautiful young lady (Renou) who spoke in perfect English. First stop was the night market near the river where she helped me bargain for a better price on some t shirts than I ever could. I wasn't sure about being able to handle the street food so she advised me of a great Thai restaurant nearby. It was a bit noisy off the street but the food was amazing and so was the price. We then did some bar hopping in the city and enjoyed the wonderful skyline views of Phnom Penh, very atmospheric settings.

Thank you Renou for the most amazing night I had in Cambodia. I would recommend anyone visiting this city to take a tour with these ladies, you will be glad you did!

Best experience in Cambodia

Just completed a 7 day trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

I wanted to see Phnom Penh and surrounding areas, I had 1 year before visited Vietnam and did a Motorbike tour which I found great. So whilst in Cambodia I thought I would look for a similar tour.

Luckily I found Motogirl, Started with doing a 1 day tour which I enjoyed so much I then followed up with a night tour then again with a day tour to Killing Fields. The night tour being extra good fun.

Renou of Motogirls and the other Motogirl guides were fantastic. Not just were the girls very knowledgeable about the history and the most interesting sites to see, but most of all the trips were fun and exciting. The guides were not just guides but fun to hang out with as we were taken around to see the sites.

A holiday is not just about see historical sites/buildings but having fun and that was what the Motogirl tour was. FUN.

The motogirl tours included some really interesting local places that I never would have had the chance to see if not on this tour.

As other reviews have mentioned there is the bonus of being on a motorbike where you are not stuck in traffic jambs and have the cooling breeze as you cruise around.

Yes Yes Yes that is all true, but most of all I would recommend the Motogirl tours to any one young or old that wants to mix their cultural/historical experience with just a down right good time.

I thank Renou and her exceptional guides for a great experience that I will never forget. Wish I was still there now.

Two great tours - back to back

We had such fun with the team on two separate occasions.

Firstly we went to the silk islands and saw a bit of Cambodian countryside. The girls explained the farms and village life worked. We also met a weaver and his family at their house/workshop.

The following day we took the city tour. Equally good, but for different reasons. We went to the royal palace, some temples and the market. The girls explained some of the key points of each attraction and their no rush tour guide style makes for a relaxed experience

I highly recommend these tours, the girls go above and beyond!

fantastic tour to the countryside

After doing a scooter tour in HCMC before I really wanted to do one in Phnom Penh as well and I was really glad to find the Motogirls on Tripadvisor. I ended up doing both the day city and the day adventure tour.

The day city tour was very good but the day adventure tour was really fantastic, so if you only do one tour I would definitely recommend going on the adventure tour.

Basically you'll get picked up at your hotel, sit on the back of the scooter and get driven around take a couple of ferrys and enjoy the countryside. The girls put together a really interesting program including a silk workshop, riding a horse cart and visiting a nice Cambodian house of a famous Cambodian architect. It's surprising how close to the city life gets very rural and you quickly get the impression, you are the only tourist anywhere close. And if you're lucky and get the timing right you'll be on the ferry and see the skyline just in time for sunset.

Travelling alone I was lucky enough to get two sisters as tour guides to myself. Both spoke great English, told me loads about Cambodia and were really fun to spend the day with. And I did get the impression that the two had as much fun driving me around as I had being driven around. At least they took almost as many pictures as I did.

Everything was well organized and planned. Pickup was punctual. Surprisingly I felt totally safe on the bike all the time and not having to drive myself wasn't intimidated at all by Phnom Penh traffic.

If I'm ever in Phnom Penh again I'll do another tour with them.

Fantastic tour!

I had visited Phnom Penh before, so I asked the Motogirls to design a custom tour where I could see some less-visited areas outside the city and I also asked them to recommend places where I could take interesting photos. I was delighted with the time and effort that Renou and her team put into designing my tour - they even went out to check out a lot of places for me before I arrived.

I completed a very long tour (10 hours) but I had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the experience. The girls are very good company and they are very knowledgeable about the sights and history of the places you visit.

I had been nervous of riding a moto in the Phnom Penh traffic but the girls take safety very seriously and I felt very comfortable, even in heavy traffic. It's actually great fun to zip around the city and countryside on the bike!

I would highly recommend this tour!

Great way to get inside Phnom Penh

You can tour the bustling city of Phnom Penh sealed inside a van or you can hop on the back of a motorbike, strap on a helmet and immerse yourself in the city. Moto Girls Tours is a new business that takes you inside Cambodia's capital.

Moto Girls is a new business operated by Cambodian women. The concept is simple: Most Cambodians get around on motorbikes, so why not show the city to tourists from the back of a motorbike.

The ladies speak English and they pride themselves on safety. A typical tour lasts 2-3 hours and costs around $30. Moto Girls has pre-arranged tours that take you to Phnom Penh's main attractions - such as the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom - or you can design your own tour.

The young ladies know the city and will gladly help with translation services. Ask them to take you to some spots that are off the beaten track to get a truly unique experience.

Very genuine tour

You should take a tour with Renou and her crew if you say yes to any of the following:

1. You are a solo female traveller who would feel safer with a female tour guide.
2. You want to feel the wind in your hair and weave through all those tuktuks and cars!
3. You've done all the typical tourist stuff in Phnom Penh and wanna see something real.
4. You want to have real conversations with someone local.
5. You want to support independent locals and not the big tour companies.
6. You want a tour that is specifically catered towards you.

Those are a few reasons I took a tour with them, and they didn't disappoint. It felt like a very relaxed and genuine tour. Thanks, girls!

Motogirl Shopping Tour

Got picked up from my hotel by the very friendly Renou who was extremely polite and very helpful. I was given a helmet and asked about my shopping preferences and then we hit the road on her state of the art Vespa. We went to two different markets to look out for cheap bargains. Renou would ask me which particular item I liked and then went up to bargain in Khmer with the stall holder. After settling upon a price I would be signalled and step in to give the final verdict. After hitting an ATM (spending more than planned) we hit Aeon Mall for some surprisingly good value clothing. I was so impressed that I shouted Renou to her first ever Burger King experience which she seemed to enjoy quite a lot. Thoroughly recommend any tour with the Motogirls.

Amazing way to see Phnom Penh

This is the best way to see Phnom Penh as I had a limited amount of time. So I chose both the day adventure tour and night city tour. This was the highlight of my time in Cambodia and can recommend this as the best way to see the surrounding areas through the eyes of a local. My tour guide was punctual and very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited, and went out of her way to make it an authentic cultural experience. I would recommend this as an absolute must do if visiting Phnom Penh.
